Nominating
The Nominating Committee consists of Elders,
Deacons, and members of the Congregartion. They meet, as necessary, to
recommend nominees for the election of Elders, Deacons, and any other
positions designated by the Session. The Nominating Committee is chosen
annually. The pastor is also an ex-officio member of this committee.
When considering a candidate to nominate, the committee reflects on his
or her Church involvement as well as personal characteristics and
skills, such as cooperativeness, willingness to learn, openness to new
ideas and maturity of judgment. Full opportunity is always given to the congregation for nominations by any active member of the church at the annual election of officers.
